The doors of all Liverpool and Suburbia stores have been closed for a month, due to the contingency caused by the COVID-19 coronavirus. And although this closure does not affect the results of the company’s first quarter (January-March), the distancing measures - which began to be taken since March - already weigh on its earnings. In the first quarter, the company registered a drop in sales of 3.3%. Sales of Liverpool stores with more than a year in operation, fell 4%, while those of Suburbia stores fell 11.3%, mainly due to the drop in traffic.
