With 5,000 sq mt. of retail space, the newly reopened branch in Brunn am Gebirge is one of the five largest sports facilities in Greater Vienna. The store, which reopened four months after the start of the complete renovation, benefited from an investment of 3 m euros. Gigasport wants to be the "best in class" in the competitive area of Vienna for running, biking, outdoor, swimming and winter sports. Especially for skis and ski clothing, the range has been expanded to include new brands. A giga / cafe, a stage for events and lectures, a show workshop for bicycles and skis, and a large children's and youth department are the main new additions.

According to its own statements, Gigasport generated sales of € 94 m in the 2017/18 financial year, which represents an increase of 3.4% over the previous year. Gigasport is part of the fashion and sports company Kastner & Öhler, which has a total of 33 locations in Austria with more than 1,600 employees and achieved sales of 270 m euros in the past financial year.
