Falabella has closed the third quarter with a growth of 12% in its sales and again with positive net profits. The company closed the third quarter with revenues of 2,485,979mn pesos (US$3,280mn). The growth has been driven by non-banking businesses, which grew by 17.9%, while the banking business fell by 21.6%. The gross profit, meanwhile, fell 6.6%, to 743,404mn pesos (US$981mn), while the net profit amounted to 47,889mn pesos (US$63.2mn), after showing losses in the second quarter. However, Falabella remains in the red since the beginning of the year.
