Unlike its rival Myer, which announced it was temporarily closing on Friday night – David Jones department stores will remain open. David Jones will keep 46 of it stores open but will close two smaller stores in Sydney – the ones on James Street and in Barangaroo.  However, its fashion chain Country Road’s closure will extend for at least four weeks from end of trade today. Customers will be welcomed to the online stores of each of the brands.
