The store launched its Christmas season on 28 October with the inauguration of its Christmas windows. For 2022, the four windows on rue de Sèvres come alive around the theme ‘La Fabrique des boules de Noël du Bon Marché’, an imaginary workshop for creating baubles in collaboration with Toqué Frères, as part of the 170th anniversary of the store. The four Christmas windows represent a stage in the making of the precious baubles animated by elves:

- The wind tunnel: elves and large digital mouths blow into organic pipes to form

the balls

- Colouring: a mechanism showing the workshop to pour the pigments to colour

the baubles in plum, gold and fluorescent pink

- The printing press: Messages are printed on the baubles, in rhythm by the elves

on a large xylophone

- Drying: Baubles dry on the cables set in motion by the elves. The Christmas

magic also invaded the department stores with huge baubles hanging from the

ceiling.
