Around 110,000 small plastic stones and 600 hours of work were necessary to create the historic Galeria (former Karstadt Kaufhof Galeria) building on Berlin’s Hermannplatz in miniature. The magnificent building from 1929 on a scale of 1:44 and in a size of 308 x 160 x 120 centimetres will be displayed inside the department store for a few months. The Lego construction alone - without a plate and substructure - weighs around 200 kilograms. The Signa Group is actually planning to resurrect the building in its dimensions from 1929 (the status of the planning at https://hermannplatz-miteinander.berlin.de/grundlagenermittlung/).
