Our Response

Since Europe is facing a resurgence of the C19 outbreak, some countries have taken tightening measures to fight the pandemic: As of 11 March 2021, 28 out of 43 IGDS members could open all of their stores, under the usual opening schedule and sanitary measures. Five department stores are operating with limited capacity (reduced opening hours, limited # of customers instore, stores closed in certain region or up to a certain surface). Six department stores can only operate their Food department, while 4 department stores had to close completely their physical stores. In total, 8 countries impose department stores to close (except tge Food department when relevant) : Denmark, Estonia, England, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Norway and The Netherlands,
