Wangfujing plans to develop three kinds of duty-free businesses, namely duty-free stores at airports, in cities, and in the offshore tax-free shopping destination of Hainan province. Wangfujing Group plans to launch a duty-free complex at Universal Beijing Resort in the near future. The park, to be based in Beijing's eastern suburban district of Tongzhou, is expected to open this spring, latest by end-June.
