Stockmann celebrates its 160-year anniversary throughout the year. Celebrations were launched in January with the illumination of the façade of the Helsinki Flagship Store building. The festivities continued in February when Stockmann provided its customers various experiences and shopping opportunities in the Department stores such as flower workshops, musical performances, interactive light displays, beauty consultations, tailor-made suit events for men, open doors for Fashion Services, cake & bubbles to just name a few. One of the most long-awaited surprises was the re-launch of Minna Parikka’s unique shoes collection tailor-made for Stockmann. The success was magnificent. In March, the Tampere department store celebrated locally both the Stockmann’s and Tampere DS 65-year anniversaries. Around 500 joyful VIP guests enjoyed a special evening with catering and music, as well as Online Exclusive brands. It was wonderful to celebrate together after two long years dominated by COVID-19 and to give an opportunity for the guests to shop late in the evening on Saturday.

In April, the Turku department store celebrated locally both Stockmann’s and Turku DS 40-year anniversaries. Hundreds of happy guests gathered together to enjoy a Saturday evening. On 7 May, Stockmann invited over 3,000 guests to the Helsinki flagship department store for the main 160-year celebrations. Young ballet dancers entertained the guests, the  staff surprised with flash mobs. Before summer holidays, Stockmann will arrange an open pop concert with a popular Finnish singer Chisu on the roof of Helsinki Department Store. In addition, three personnel events will be organised in Finland, Estonia and Latvia. In honour of Stockmann’s anniversary, many special, valued products were offered to customers: 160 glass birds by Toikka Stockmann, Finnish Lumene’s beauty products and Fiskars’ special design scissors for Stockmann and many other unique products.
