Jelmoli says goodbye to the green plastic carrier bags. From now on, there will be only Jelmoli-green paper bags produced in Europe in the department store on Bahnhofstrasse. So that the plastic bags still available can be recycled as resource-saving as possible, they will undergo a recycling process and be further processed into products for everyday use. In this process, the plastic components of the bags are shredded, sorted, cleaned, dried and finally re-shaped into granules. The switch to environmentally friendly packaging material is an important step in Jelmoli’s sustainability strategy and will be implemented gradually.
