On 3rd December, the racks of the carefully-curated activewear and lingerie pieces on the 5th floor of Nordstrom’s flagship store in New York City were swapped out for plush velvety chairs and disco lights to celebrate the holiday season. As guests made their way up the escalators, they were greeted by a sign anchored between decorated Christmas trees that read ‘A Legendary Holiday’.
Those words were simply the best way to describe the evening, especially since the apex of the night when John Legend serenaded the crowd with his iconic tunes and classic holiday ballads. Once Legend’s set concluded, the night transformed into a true disco with Questlove DJing a set playing all of the best hits, from Prince & The Revolution’s ‘Kiss’ to Chic’s ‘Le Freak’.
