M&S has launched Sparks Pay, a digital payment method available exclusively to its Sparks customers. It offers digital credit of up to £500 for use on M&S.com and the M&S app with up to 45 days’ interest free as standard. Introduced in conjunction with M&S Bank, the scheme will be rolled out as a phased launch. Following customer feedback and experience from the online-first launch, the retailer will then roll out the digital payment method to M&S stores nationwide during 2023. The launch is part of M&S’s drive ‘to offer a more personalised and digitally-driven customer experience. Since the Sparks loyalty scheme was relaunched as a digital-first programme in 2020, it said it has more than doubled from sevenmn to just under 16mn customers. M&S.com now makes up 34% of all Clothing & Home sales for the business.
