Karstadt ties in with Amazon and appears in Germany as one of the first trade sizes under the concept roof of Amazon Hubs. At the hubs for which Amazon is looking for partners, customers can pick up their Amazon packages at lounges (parcel stations). The next step could then be "counters" where employees accept parcels. The concept has already started in the UK and Italy. Exciting Commerce finds it also "remarkable how Karstadt, Amazon and its services in the entire house advertises".
