This March, the STF Schweizerische Textilfachschule (Swiss Textile College) will be presenting the sustainable collection "The Power of Craft" at Jelmoli. The collection was designed and implemented in initial prototypes entirely by STF students. All the collection pieces are based on sustainable materials produced in Switzerland by swiss silk, Wollsein and SwissFlax as well as Remei. The online voting for the personal favourite of the seventeen fashion pieces presented at Jelmoli is open until March 24th. The collection pieces of the winning design will then be made into a small collection locally in Zurich by apprentice garment designers from the Modeco training studio. This limited, sustainable and unique Capsule Collection will be available for purchase exclusively at Jelmoli in Zurich from June 4th. With its sustainability strategy "The Green Act", Jelmoli has anchored the issue in its culture. The renunciation of real fur, exotic leather and plastic bags, a focus on gas-powered trucks, zero-waste concepts, sustainable products and cooperation with local brands are just the beginning here. Jelmoli wants to actively help shape the fashion industry in a more sustainable way. Local collaborations and the promotion and support of young, innovative talents play an important and major role for the premium department store. On March 24th, starting at 6 p.m., a J-Talk about the cooperation will take place at Jelmoli, including Sonja Amport, CEO STF, Nina Müller, CEO Jelmoli, Dominik Füglistaller, CEO SwissFlax and Amadea Aeberhard, STF student Fashion Design & Technology.
