Jaeger has forged a partnership with JamilCo, one of Russia's leading luxury brand distributors, to bring the British brand to Russia. The first two stores are set to open in spring 2011 in Moscow, with more to follow in autumn 2011 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. "We are delighted to introduce Jaeger to the Russian market," Khaled Jamil, JamilCo's president, added. "Jaeger has global appeal and we are positive that Russian consumers will appreciate the brand's heritage of noble fibres and unique designs." Reports this week suggest that Jaeger owner Harold Tillman is considering selling the 127-year-old label after receiving approaches from a number of interested parties.
