Under its ‘Nordstrom Made’ store brand, Nordstrom unveiled its first ever genderless collection this month called “BP. Be Proud,” with summer clothes designed for people of all gender identities. Nordstrom shared with Store Brands the own brand collection, which includes shorts, T-shirts and accessories, and said the company engaged with different members from the LGBTQIA community to provide insight on what they see as missing from the current apparel landscape and worked with them to ensure fit and styling was reflective of what they’d like to see in a gender-inclusive collection. Nordstrom also is planning to expand on the collection in the fall and will be listening to customer feedback on how to improve the fits and items. Nordstrom is donating 10% of sales from the BP. Be Proud collection to True Colors United, a non-profit that implements innovative solutions to youth homelessness that focus on the LGBTQIA community.
