Sales increased 9% to $1.5bn for Q3 ended 1st November, where analysts forecast a growth of just 4.6%. Net losses narrowed to $37mn from $56mn a year earlier. Adjusted operating income broke even — better than the $35mn to $55mn loss forecast by the company earlier and the loss of $28mn a year ago. Victoria’s Secret also has a nearly $1bn beauty business in North America and sees the category as a key growth driver.
