The Ultimate ‘Black Sabbath Fan Experience’ at Selfridges

From exhibitions to murals, film screenings and ballets, Birmingham has gone Black Sabbath mad. The heavy metal pioneers’ final gig at Villa Park is fast approaching (July 5), and everywhere is getting into the spirit of things—not least of all Selfridges, which launched its immersive fan experience on 23 June. In a continuation of his 120ft mural of Black Sabbath on Navigation Street, local artist Mr Murals has also spent the past seven days creating new artworks live inside the Birmingham store’s windows. Two Selfridges’ windows over Levels 2 and 3 display a six-metre-wide portrait of the original line-up—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—and a large-scale Black Sabbath logo.

On top, you can also now purchase exclusive Black Sabbath merch from a pop-up inside Selfridges (until July 21), including jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, and accessories, alongside band memorabilia and gifts. Fans can also take photos against a metal-clad wall displaying the band’s iconic ‘Henry’ emblem, as well as watch a digital screen playing ‘The End’ film. The limited-edition pieces include collaborative products created with contemporary British artist Mason Newman, Italian luxury brand Moschino, US Outerwear Brand Alpha Industries, and LA streetwear label, Babylon LA & Vanson Leathers—who will be offering very limited edition leather jackets signed by Ozzy himself.
