Selfridges has launched its first permanent floor space that is dedicated to second-hand clothing. The new boutique is operated by Vestiaire Collective and housed at Selfridges’ flagship store on Oxford Street in central London. The sale of preloved clothes expected to increase to 12% this year In line with other traditional concession stores, items that are for sale include Nicholas Kirkwood shoes and Mulberry bags. Other items of interest include suits from Gucci and other high end luxury brands. Items will vary subject to availability but bargains can certainly be had for the brand orientated consumers. With the second-hand luxury shopping sector expected to grow by 12% in the UK this year, Selfridges are tapping into to consumer demand for preloved clothing.  American fashion brand, Ralph Lauren, have released “Re/Sourced”. This is a collection of vintage products sourced by sellers on the resale app Depop. Items now available in the brand’s main store, on New Bond Street in central London.
