From now until May 2, the Selfridges Pangaia Corner Shop is open to the public with people able to book themselves into virtual appointments until April 12, when shops will finally open their doors once again. Given that the Pangaia’s luxe loungewear formed the basis of a slew of fashion lover’s pandemic uniforms, the Corner Shop will stock tracksuits in its seven core colours, as well as introduce some new offerings including note books and a partnership with Ocean Bottle. Pangaia is a brand that puts sustainability at the heart of its business. The brand has pioneered self-cleaning T-shirts made from seaweed; puffer coats filled with wildflowers; and lab-produced pigments made from a flower’s DNA. The Corner Shop will offer visitors the chance to stop by a lab-style stall where they can learn more about the science behind the brand. The Pangaia pop-up is a continuation of Selfridges’ Project Earth initiative, which it launched last summer. The upmarket retailer has introduced Good Nature, a year-long theme, which it’s implementing in its stores and online as it aims to encourage people to shop more consciously.
