Nordstrom will have six food and beverage offerings at the flagship, its first women’s store in New York City, scheduled to debut Oct. 24. Chef Stowell, Executive Chef and owner of Ethan Stowell Restaurants, will open Wolf, an homage to his Seattle restaurant, How to Cook a Wolf. Wolf will be his first New York City restaurant. Located on the third floor of the flagship and overlooking West 57th and Broadway, the restaurant will offer Italian-inspired small plates.
Chef Douglas will also debut his first project on the East Coast, with two concepts in partnership with Nordstrom: Jeannie’s, a contemporary pizza, pasta and salad restaurant, and Hani Pacific, for Pacific Rim-influenced dishes. Both restaurants will be located on the store’s lower level. Nordstrom will also offer on the second floor the Broadway Bar, for cocktails, small plates and light meals, and the Bistro Verde, on the fifth floor, for a ‘family-friendly’ menu of classic fare including soups, salads, pizzas and pastas, meats and seafoods, and desserts. A patio, slated to open in 2020, will provide seasonal al fresco appeal to Bistro Verde. In addition, Nordstrom will open the Shoe Bar, a cocktail destination on the shoe floor. It will also have an all-day menu so shoppers can refuel. Nordstrom opened its first restaurant nearly 40 years ago and has made food and beverage an important part of its in-store customer experience. Today, Nordstrom operates 20 different restaurant concepts for a total of 253 offerings across its 119 full-line stores.
