Selfridges on Oxford Street in London is welcoming two new restaurants on the 4th floor of the iconic department store, including Din Tai Fung and Pizza Pilgrims. The new and improved dining area will now stay open until 11:30pm and the two openings will join existing restaurants: EL&N, serving up ‘Instagrammable’ food, drinks and interiors, and bubble tea bar Bubble Majik. Pizza Pilgrims is set to open on 9 December and it will offer 108 covers along with a strong sustainable ethos at its heart. All of the upholstery will be made from vegan materials whilst tabletops and timber floors will both be made from reclaimed waste. Din tin Faung is set to open in January 2022 and the site will be its second London restaurant. Boasting 140 covers and a show kitchen, the restaurant will offer Din Tai Fung classics such as steamed pork soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) as well as exclusive dishes and cocktails made only for Selfridges. The new openings will bring the number of restaurants, bars and eateries across the store to 24.
