Kastner & Öhler continues its growth course and is expanding with the new "Infected" store concept. The new brand for the denim & fashion sector opened a 2,200 m² store in Linz, and on the same day, launched a new online shop for the brand. The store features the largest jeans selection in Upper Austria. Over 50 top brands are featured, including Diesel, Replay, G-Star, Levis, Pepe, Lee, Calvin Klein, Superdry, Adidas, Ragwear, Tommy Jeans, Tom Tailor, Drykorn and Guess. Matching shoes, bags and accessories complete the offer. After the successful openings in March (K & Ö in the Murpark / Graz, K & Ö and Gigasport in Bärnbach and K & Ö and Gigasport in Leoben), the new Infected Store is already the sixth opening this year. Kastner & Öhler is one of the five leading fashion providers in Austria with 14 Kastner & Öhler, 16 Gigasport branches, 2 outlets and the new Infected Store in Linz.

In the 2017/18 financial year (as of the end of February), Kastner & Öhler and Gigasport sales increased by 3.5% to EUR 270mn (2016/17: EUR 261mn). The number of employees increased to 1,742 (2016/17: 1,649) due to the opening of new branches. In online trading the company more than doubled its sales in the past financial year - and the trend continues to rise. In total, K & Ö and Gigasport and Infected online offer more than 30,000 items.
