Central recently celebrated its 72^nd birthday on November 7. In the last 25 years, Central has decorated its malls with fresh flowers to give its shoppers a special thanks on its birthday. For this year, Central Department Store, in association with General Card Services and Mastercard, transformed Central Chidlom and Central Embassy into heavenly gardens with rare yellow flowers to also pay homage to His Majesty King Rama X. A special ceremony at the Lobby Lounge, Central Chidlom was attended by Dr Wissanu Krea-Ngam, Deputy Prime Minister, Natira Chirathivat Boonsri, President of Central Department Store and VIP guests. Other than the blossoming exhibits scattered around Central Chidlom and Central Embassy including Stairway to Heaven and The Cherry Blossom Forest, special promotions were also presented for the celebration. Shoppers enjoyed a 30% discount and a top-up of 12.5% when using The One card. Online shoppers can also enjoy 70% off until November 20.
