Shoppers Stop announced the opening of five new stores in Hyderabad, with the main store being opened in Sarath City Capital Mall and other four stores in the Airport. Spanned across 30,000 ft2 (2,786 m2), the new store has brought together 200 brands in its sixth store in the Mall, while the other stores in Airport include women’s concept studio, Shoppers Stop store, beauty store and Mithas (food store). In terms of expansion, Shoppers Stop plans to open 50 stores all over India out of which 12 will be department stores, 8 will be airport stores and balance will be beauty stores. In addition, Shoppers Stop is looking to open three new stores in Lucknow, Calicut and Varanasi. It had recently announced setting up of a manufacturing facility in Sircilla apparel park.
