In January, revenues from textile products, costume jewelry, clothing accessories and footwear grew by 11.8% compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography. All in all, fashion was above the Mexican retail average, which increased its revenues by 5%, its wages by 7.5% and its workers by 1.4%. Self-service and department stores increased their sales by 2.2% compared to January 2025. The number of people employed in this sector grew by 1.5% and their salaries by 5.6%.
