Burberry opens Imagined Landscapes pop-up at Selfridges

Burberry is putting plenty of support behind its outerwear this season and has opened its latest Imagined Landscapes pop-up with a debut at Selfridges in London where it already has a large concession. It’s part of a series of “inspirational pop-ups” globally, showcasing “classic and reimagined styles”. The pop-up also carries a selection of exclusive styles only available at Selfridges. The company said that “exploration and the freedom to go beyond have been an inspiration for Burberry for over a century. This takes a new form in the pop-up, an intimate space where exhibition meets retail”. That means “melodic sounds of wind and of birds create an immersive audio experience”. Imagery of the British countryside from the label’s outerwear campaign, shot by Danko Steiner, are featured throughout the space. The products include the latest developments of its signature cotton gabardine coats, as well as puffer jackets in new technical fabrics. The exclusive RTW items available at the pop-up include casual shirts and knitwear, straight-fit cropped trousers cut from woven cotton gabardine, and cotton T-shirts featuring gabardine patches. The temporary store will stay open until January 16.
