This week, Brown Thomas once again launched CREATE, its annual offering of the best and most exciting Irish designers today. Now in its 10th year, CREATE will showcase 31 designers across ready-to-wear, jewellery, handbags, millinery, childrenswear and interiors. Richard Quinn, whose signature creations have graced the most prestigious red carpets and have been worn by celebrities such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Kendall Jenner and Amal Clooney, will be returning to CREATE this year. His collection this year features dresses, tops, skirts and tees in striking daisy and rose prints.

RIXO has designed an exclusive capsule collection for this year’s CREATE and will feature feminine dresses, tops and skirts in prints such as florals and polka dots. Other designers featured at CREATE include O’Raghallaigh, Katie Ann McGuigan, Lucy Nagle and Faye Dinsmore, Sara O’Neill, Sarah Murphy returns or Grey + Ginger. In continued partnership with NCAD, the Brown Thomas ‘Designer to Watch’ bursary prize winner for 2020 will exhibit their final year collection chosen by Shelly Corkery. The bursary prize winner will be announced in September and will also be awarded a coveted internship with 2012 CREATE designer JW Anderson. CREATE will also showcase and exhibit several past winners of the Brown Thomas ‘Designer to Watch’ bursary prize in partnership with the NCAD including Laoise Carey, Alla Sinkevich, Aideen Gaynor and Heather Gilroy.
