A wellbeing company has secured $930k seed investment and launched an exclusive retail partnership with Selfridges after two months of trading. CBD (cannabidiol)-based wellbeing firm Grass & Co. has closed a seed funding round backed by a number of unnamed angel investors. Launched in July 2019, Grass & Co. specialises in products with THC-free CBD, made using hemp flowers grown organically in Europe. The CBD oil is blended with natural, organic botanical ingredients according to Grass & Co.’s proprietary formulations. As part of the deal with Selfridges, Grass & Co.’s EASE and CALM collections will be available in its London and Manchester stores or via its website. The seed funding will be used on product development as well as boosting the firm’s marketing activities and accelerating business growth.
