16th World Department Store Summit 2025 in Seoul
The 16th IGDS WDSS held on 11th-12th June 2025 in Seoul explored strategies to engage today's dynamic customers, examine retail and department store innovations and present bold, forward-thinking ideas for the future.
The event – co-organised by IGDS & LOTTE Department Store - was a huge success, welcoming more than 430 delegates from 220 companies across 38 countries. 22 worldclass speakers showcased the latest strategies about customer and service centricity, curated assortments, process management, brand identity, and K-culture.

Developing the Next C-Suite Leaders
The Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute (GDI) has the pleasure of launching and announcing the 3rd GDI Impact Leadership Programme (ILP), developed in cooperation with IGDS. The programme, tailored specifically for department store executives, addresses the unique challenges and complexities of the retail industry.
The GDI ILP 2026 is scheduled from 20th to 23rd April 2026 in Zurich, Switzerland. Registrations will open soon.
