Sustainability
  • Background: Selfridges presented sustainable window displays at its Oxford Street flagship that celebrate outdoor pursuits and escapism.
  • Description: The unique and whimsical window displays are inspired by the pleasure and optimism found in nature. Made mostly with recyclable materials, the Oxford Street windows integrate concepts of horticulture, outdoor activities, and symbolic elements of formal garden all tied to the new season's products. while the side windows on Duke Street feature a colourful and abstract play on sustainable garden fixtures. Selfridges also commissioned emerging British artist Jonathan Schofield to interpret its 'Good Nature' theme through original artworks for three windows on Orchard Street.
  • Impact: The sustainable approach for its latest window diplays is a direct response to the store's Project Earth initiative launched last August and shows Selfridges full commitment and wholesome approach to sustainability.
